MM02Roads we run
The highways behind most of our calls
Where a vehicle stops decides how we work the call. A shoulder on an interstate grade, a curve in a canyon, and a Wyoming interchange each need a different setup before anyone hooks up.
I-70 in the foothills
West of Golden, I-70 carries commuters, skiers, and loaded trucks on long mountain grades. Breakdowns and collisions here happen in fast traffic, so clearing the scene quickly keeps everyone safer. CO 74 leaves the interstate at El Rancho, exit 252, and Central City Parkway at exit 243.
US 285 to Conifer and Bailey
US 285 climbs out of Denver's southwest suburbs through Conifer and on to Bailey. Curves and uphill stretches leave thin shoulders and little room to pull over, so our drivers set up for the traffic before they set up for the tow.
CO 74, our home road
CO 74 runs from I-70 down to Evergreen, then follows Bear Creek Canyon through Kittredge and Idledale to Morrison. Narrow canyon shoulders, steep driveways, and winter ice make slide-offs and winch-outs a regular call along it.
CO 119 to Black Hawk
CO 119 climbs from US 6 in Clear Creek Canyon up to Black Hawk, and much of its traffic is headed for the casinos. Plenty of drivers on it are visitors with no local tow company saved, and one call to our dispatch reaches a crew that already knows the canyon.
I-25 in Wyoming
North of the state line, I-25 runs along the west edge of Cheyenne, then on through Chugwater, Wheatland, and Douglas. This is where our Wyoming heavy-duty work happens: semis, commercial trucks, and loaded trailers that break down or leave the road between towns.
I-80 and US 85
I-80 meets I-25 in Cheyenne and heads west over Sherman Summit to Laramie. US 85 leaves I-25 north of Cheyenne for Torrington, where it meets US 26. We cover both for heavy-duty and commercial calls.
