The four answers most people want first. Each card opens the full section, and the contents list covers the rest.

Section 2To send a truck, finish and bill the job, keep required records, and send texts you agreed to.
Section 3Only those needed to finish your service or meet a legal duty, such as providers, your insurer or law enforcement.
Section 5Reply STOP to end texts, and ask to see, correct or delete your information.
Sections 9 and 10D&J Towing & Recovery of Colorado Inc, doing business as D & J Towing ("D&J," "we," "us" or "our"), is a family-owned towing and recovery company at 30495 Bryant Dr, Evergreen, CO 80439. This policy applies to djtowingandrecovery.com, to phone calls and text messages with our dispatch and office, and to the records we keep when we tow, recover, haul, store or release a vehicle.
By using this website or our services, you agree to the practices described here. Our terms of service cover the other rules for using the website and our text messages.
We collect what we need to answer a call, do the job and keep the records the law and your insurer expect. Depending on how you reach us, that can include:
Your name and phone number, where you and the vehicle are, the vehicle's year, make, model and color, what happened, and where you want the vehicle taken.
Vehicle details such as the license plate and VIN, pickup and drop-off locations, notes or photos of the vehicle's condition, the work performed, the invoice, and how it was paid. We accept cash, Mastercard and Visa. We do not collect payment card numbers through this website.
When a vehicle leaves our storage yard, we check the documents required for release: a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and registration when the vehicle is driven out, or a valid ID when it is towed out. Our impound release page lists the details.
If you fill out a form on this site or email us, we receive what you enter, such as your name, phone number, email address and message.
Your mobile number, the messages we exchange, the date and time of each message, and a record of your consent to receive texts or your request to stop.
Technical details any browser sends, such as IP address, device type, pages viewed and the referring site.
Details about a vehicle or incident may come from law enforcement, insurance companies, auto clubs, or the fleet or company that owns the vehicle when they request service.
We use personal information to run our towing and recovery business. Specifically, we use it to:
We send text messages only to people who have given us a mobile number and agreed to receive texts, for example by checking a consent box on a form or by asking our dispatcher to text you. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of buying any service from us.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
To restart texts after opting out, contact us or opt in again. Full program terms are in our terms of service.
We share personal information only in the situations below, and only as much as each one needs.
Companies that host this website, run our phone, email, form and text messaging systems, process card payments, or provide accounting and IT support. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
The body shop, repair shop or residence you ask us to deliver to, your insurance company and its adjuster, the auto club that sent the call, and the fleet or company that owns the vehicle.
Police and municipal agencies for the tows and impounds they request (see police and municipal towing), and anyone else when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or court order, or when we believe sharing is needed to protect someone's safety.
If D&J is sold or merged, customer records may pass to the new owner, who would have to follow this policy for the information it receives.
None of the sharing in this section includes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which is not shared with any third parties.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site and the tools built into it may use cookies and similar technologies to keep pages working, remember settings, and measure how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how people found us.
Some pages show embedded Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although embedded maps and some forms may not load. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as described in section 10.
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the reason we collected it, and longer when the law, an insurance claim, a dispute, or our tax and accounting duties require it.
Requests to stop text messages are kept so we continue to honor them. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards for the information we hold, including limiting access to the people at D&J and our service providers who need it to do their work.
No website, phone system or storage method is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be lost or misused. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as Colorado law requires.
Wherever you live, you can:
To make a request, email djtowing699@gmail.com, call (303) 674-0198, or write to the address in section 14. We will ask for enough detail to confirm who you are and find your records, such as your name, phone number, and the date or license plate of the job. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
The Colorado Privacy Act gives Colorado residents rights over personal data held by businesses that meet its size thresholds, such as processing the personal data of 100,000 or more Colorado residents in a year. Whether or not those thresholds apply to D&J, we will honor the requests below from Colorado residents. Pick a right to see what it covers.
Confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and see that data.
Ask us to fix personal data that is inaccurate, such as a misspelled name, an old phone number, or the wrong address on an invoice.
Ask us to delete personal data about you. Some records, such as invoices and impound release records, may have to be kept for legal, tax or insurance reasons. If so, we will tell you what we kept and why.
Get a copy of the personal data you gave us in a portable, readily usable format, where that is technically feasible, so you can pass it to another company.
Opt out of the sale of personal data, its use for targeted advertising, and profiling that leads to legal or similarly significant decisions about you. We do not sell personal data. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out.
If we decline a request, we will explain why and tell you how to appeal. If you disagree with the result of your appeal, you can contact the Colorado Attorney General.
We respond to Colorado privacy requests within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why within those 45 days, and the extension will be no longer than 45 more days.
This website is meant for adults. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's permission to request service or join our text alerts. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13, and Colorado law treats personal data about a child under 13 as sensitive data. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
This site links to other websites, such as Google Maps and the Colorado Attorney General. We do not control those sites, and this policy does not apply to them; their own privacy policies do.
We may update this privacy policy when our services, our systems or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make a material change to how we use or share personal information, we will post the new version here and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
